The Truth About Pongo

2 min read

The information about Pongo has been wrong from the very beginning. The group we call the SOS Organization has been spreading lies, claiming that Pongo was sedated by WCPO but was never transported to our center for medication and care.

This is completely false.

From the beginning to the end, WCPO did everything possible to help Pongo, but we could not save his life because his condition was not fixable.

The truth is: Pongo received medication and antibiotics in the field shortly after the initial injury. However, unfortunately he continued to have problems. We determined Pongo needed to be brought to our center for closer examination and additional care.

After Pongo received medication and care when he first arrived at our center, he was able to urinate. He did not have any problem with his urinary tube being blocked as they claim. He did not have a hole or fistula. This diagnosis came from viewers watching videos. It did not come from anyone who examined Pongo. And it was not correct. His difficulty urinating was caused by an enlarged prostate from the start, not by his injury, which we confirmed through blood tests, X-rays and examination.

SOS organization is a group consisting of livestreamers who keep chasing injuries and asking for stars and donations, their page admins, the monkey abusers' bosses, fake advocate teams, fake experts and fake vets, and their supporters. These people get jealous easily, spread fake information, and pretend to care about anything. They say they love monkeys, but their activities show they are exploiting injured monkeys for their own personal gain. [ SOS means Snake Oil Salesman ]

We are posting this clarification because the SOS group keeps using Pongo's case for personal gain and to make us look bad.

We at WCPO have nothing to hide. We did our best to save Pongo and finally made the difficult decision to end his suffering peacefully. The WCPO is expanding our abilities to help more than just monkeys.

The staff at the WCPO loves monkeys. We want them healthy and back home with their families. That is why the WCPO was started and why we do what we do.
