Baby Monkey Klay Faces Uphill Battle After Abuse and Neglect

Baby Monkey Klay's story is one of survival against the odds. Once a victim of brutal exploitation, Klay was captured and forcibly separated from his family, only to be subjected to mistreatment for profit. His ordeal escalated when he was caged and later released into an unfamiliar area, where an attack by a native troop left him severely injured.

In a tragic turn of events, Klay was struck by a vehicle while attempting to escape, resulting in a dislocated shoulder and multiple fractures in his right arm and hand. Following the accident, well-meaning bystanders attempted to treat his injuries. However, their lack of veterinary knowledge led them to apply a purple ointment to Klay’s open wounds, triggering a serious allergic reaction. Misleading the public about their qualifications, these individuals failed to prioritize Klay’s welfare.

Thankfully, our dedicated rescue team stepped in to save Klay. Upon his arrival, our veterinary staff promptly assessed his condition and addressed the complications caused by the incorrect treatment. They identified the allergens responsible for Klay's reaction and administered the proper medications to ensure his safe recovery.

Our veterinary team has conducted surgery to repair the broken bones in his arm and hand and is currently treating his dislocated shoulder.
